Preservation age

Under superannuation law, restrictions are placed on when lump sum super savings can be accessed. Your 'preservation age' is one of the key restrictions in place.

Preservation rules were introduced by the Australian Government in 1999; these rules apply to all regulated superannuation schemes in Australia.
